Lost Grimoires 3: The Forgotten Well is the third installment of a series of HOPA games, launched in 2016. It was developed by the Polish studio World-Loom, which also provided the previous two parts of the series, and was published by Artifex Mundi, a company specializing in this genre.

Plot

Lost Grimoires 3: The Forgotten Well takes us on a journey to a fairy-tale fantasy world, more precisely - to the Phoenix Kingdom. The subjects are awaiting the triumphant return of King Raphael, who won a victory in the battle against the elves possessed by the inhabitants of the Tangled Forest and their leader - Sylvanheir. However, the ruler's sister, who is an alchemist, suspects that her brother has fallen victim to a curse that previously affected the inhabitants of the elven kingdom. The protagonist has no choice but to unravel the mystery, save Raphael and avert the danger before it is too late to do so.

Game mechanics

The adventure in Lost Grimoires 3: The Forgotten Well takes us through 26 diverse locations. Traveling through the kingdom, we solve logic puzzles, search for carefully hidden items, and take part in various mini-games. In addition, we use an extensive alchemy system. As time goes by, we learn more elements of the story puzzle, gradually approaching the grand finale.

Technical aspects

2D graphics in Lost Grimoires 3: The Forgotten Well present high quality. In addition to hand-drawn illustrations, it consists of animated cutscreens depicting important events and characters.
