Another game from the famous Lemmings series, significantly expanded in relation to the original. The main task of the player is to conquer twelve parts of a powerful talisman, which have been scattered all over the land.
Already the first contact with Lemmings 2: The Tribes shows us the huge changes that the authors have made to make the gameplay more varied. You will not find here the traditional division into difficulty levels, but a map of the land, with the help of which we can choose one of the twelve tribes of lemmings. Once we have done so, the traditional breaking of the head begins. As in the original, we have to carry out reckless creatures through a series of boards, at the end of which there is one part of the talisman. If we get it, we can get on with the next tribe and so on until the end. As the most important thing in the game is the progress in winning all parts of the medallion, the authors have provided the option of recording the state of the game, the use of which will protect us in the future from repeating all the boards from the beginning. But this is not the end of the changes that The Tribes serves us. The biggest novelty is the number of functions that can be assigned to our pupils. Instead of eight, as in the original, there are now more than sixty of them. Perfect mastery of each of them can take a lot of time, so it is worth to use the training option and before starting the right game, to practice solidly.
Lemmings 2: The Tribes seems to be much easier than its predecessor, but that's just appearances. The fact that we are not limited by the number of lemmings that have to reach the exit is a great help in the game. In fact, it is enough that only one manor will find the desired freedom and the board is counted. The problem is that later on there may be stages in which the help of other green-haired people may be necessary and the whole segment will have to be repeated from the beginning. Also, the large number of functions that can be assigned to lemmings does not make things any easier. At least half of them are completely unsuitable.
