Last Inua Description
Last Inua is an arcade adventure game taking place in the icy North. It tells us the story of a father and a son fighting a deadly demon, Tonrar. It was developed by Glowforth and won many awards.
The action is focused on fighting the abovementioned demon who awakened somewhere in the icy Arctic where mythic and supernatural powers are still nothing out of the ordinary. Tonrar grows stronger and takes over the mythic gods such as Ice Bear, Raven and Narval. They lose their positive power and are swallowed by the darkness. The only hope for the rescue are Hiko and Ataataq, a father and a son. Together, they set out to face the demon.
In the game, we assume the role of both little Hiko – who can cast spells – as well as Ataataq who has supreme physical power. The two represent different styles of combat and gameplay, as well as different skills which we can use to combat the ice demons and even the legendary Yeti. The young one proves incredibly helpful to overcome many obstacles, while his father can use his strength to crush even the biggest snow blocks.
Last Inua is a typical 2D arcade game, combining classic mechanics with well-written story and a lot of modern technical solutions. The in-game world combines the mythology of the far North with the elements of modern culture. The graphics are hand-written and go along nicely with the soundtrack.
