Pinball has as many ardent fans as the KISS team. On the wave of popularity of the American group in the 80s of the last century were produced richly decorated flippers. For those who can't afford to buy a real table or who don't have room to put it in their room, Wildfire Studios has prepared a virtual equivalent.
Playing in KISS Pinball doesn't differ too much from similar flipper simulators. The player's task is to bounce back with "paws". (flippers) in such a way that the ball does not fall into a hole located at the bottom edge of the table. The score achieved in the game is influenced not so much by the time of play as by the points bonuses gained.
KISS Pinball offers two tables. The first one - "Last Stop: Oblivion" is inspired by the work of the group KISS. Performing individual missions, players have the opportunity to beat the concert tour with the band. The main theme of the second table, "Netherworld", is the fight between musicians and the powerful Dark Lord.
Audio-game audiovisual practice is at a decent level. The tables are presented in a classic two-dimensional projection. The movement of the ball can be followed by looking at the whole table or its enlarged fragment. Unfortunately, the physical engine used is not a particularly strong point of KISS Pinball. In some places, the speed or behavior of the ball can be quite surprising.
Steering in the game is, however, intuitively simple and is limited to moving the "paws" using the keyboard or pad. More skilled players are able to control the direction and strength of the rebound, which is sometimes necessary to perform more difficult tasks.
The soundtrack of the game abounds in atmospheric, strong sounds. However, there are no tracks of the group KISS, which may be disqualifying for fans. On the other hand, there are comments by Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, which to some extent compensate for the lack of songs of the band.
