Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe Description
Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe is a remastered and enhanced version of the platform game released in 2011 under the title Kirby's Return to Dream Land. The game was developed by HAL Laboratory studio, and was released by Nintendo.
Plot
In Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe we find ourselves on the planet Popstar, which is the homeland of the main character. And we're not the only ones, because the hard landing on this globe was also scored by a certain Magolor, whose ship crashed just after leaving the wormhole. When Kirby, Meta Knight, King Dedede and Waddle Dee arrive at the crash site, they have a chat with the pilot, who, in exchange for finding parts of the ship scattered around the planet, promises them a trip to his home planet Halcandra. Without thinking too long, Kirby and his friends embark on a journey to find all the missing parts of the ship.
Game mechanics
Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe is a side-scroller. We dash to the right, jumping over platforms and avoiding traps, as well as facing the enemies we encounter. Kirby is able to pull in objects found along the way and then blow them up like projectiles. In addition, the protagonist can copy the abilities of his enemies, which comes in handy both in the fight against adversaries (whom he eliminates with a sword or, for example, smacks with a whip) and during exploration (for example, thanks to an umbrella "borrowed" from the enemy, he can float in the air, and the whip allows him to grab objects beyond his reach). A new feature is the Mecha Copy skill, allowing him to shoot at aggressors with a laser cannon. A system of lives was implemented in the game, the number of which we increase by finding special items.
The game is varied by various mini-games; in addition to those that already appeared in the original (such as Samurai Kirby), there is room for completely new ones (like Magolor's Tome Trackers).
Game modes
Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe can be played solo or in local co-op mode for up to four people.
Technical aspects
Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe features colorful graphics made in a cartoonish style. The whole thing has been slightly tweaked and adapted to higher resolutions.
