Kingdom: Two Crowns - Call of Olympus is the second paid (and fourth overall) add-on to the strategy game with RPG elements released in 2018. The DLC is the fruit of cooperation between independent teams Stumpy Squid, Fury Studios and Coatsink.

Storyline

Unlike the basic version of the game, the action of which took place in a fantastic world inspired by the Middle Ages, Kingdom: Two Crowns - Call of Olympus takes us to an island land modeled on ancient Greece, which is ruled by the powerful g?ra Olympus. During the course of the game, we take control of the ruler, who must build a prosperous kingdom and confront the lurking Greed, thus proving his worth to the Olympian b?states.

Gameplay

In Kingdom: Two Crowns - Call of Olympus, the action is viewed from the side. The game is based on the scheme developed by previous positions under this banner, so during the game we travel on horseback through our domains and take care of their development, erecting various production buildings and fortifications in our settlement, as well as producing useful tools or fielding the most powerful army possible. The latter is important because at night our city is attacked by Greed, with whom we fight multi-phase skirmishes. Fighting on land and sea, we have to protect our crown at all costs, as losing it is r?wno?ng to losing.

Against the background of the original, the described add-on stands out primarily due to the new location of the action. The DLC puts at our disposal islands on which we can find temples dedicated to Artemis, Athena, Hephaestus and Hermes, as well as tasks waiting to be completed. We move between them on board ships, while we can ask the oracle about where we should go next.

In addition, mounts straight out of Greek myths (such as the triple-headed dog Cerberus, the fire-breathing Chimera or the beautiful Pegasus) appear here, as well as previously unavailable units (led by hoplites fighting in phalanxes or ships equipped with powerful ballistae). The list of novelties is topped off with divine artifacts such as the hammer or the bow, which provide us with additional offensive and defensive abilities, as well as the power of wielding fire derived from the new hermit.

Game modes

Kingdom: Two Crowns - Call of Olympus can be played solo or in cooperative mode over the Internet or on a shared screen.

Technical issues

The graphic design of Kingdom: Two Crowns - Call of Olympus is done in pixel art technique. As it is a non-self-contained add-on, it requires the basic version of the game.
