A unique abstract strategy game by indie studio Space Bears. Your task is to take over the territory controlled by your opponent and defeat their king. The gameplay is turn-based and takes place on a board full of tiles in two colors, seen from above. During every turn you can make two moves, using them either to place new tiles or strengthen some of the already placed. To succeed, you have to separate your opponent's tiles from the rest.
Kindo Description
Space Bears Studio is an independent French developer founded in 2014. The first project of a small, two-person team (Paul is responsible for designing and Max is responsible for coding) is Kindo, formerly known as Kingdoms. The production, designed for mobile devices with iOS system, can be described as an abstract strategy game.
The game is designed for two-person battles (you can play with a living opponent as well as with artificial intelligence), where the main goal is to take over the territory of the opponent and defeat his king. The game is divided into rounds. During each of them, the player has two moves, which can be used to place new tiles on the subsequent fields, or to fortify existing tiles. Individual elements are connected with rulers hiding in two opposite corners of the board, and the fight consists in cutting off the opponent's tiles from the rest of the group.
The gameplay is complemented by a minimalist graphic design, based basically only on the display of green and orange tiles on a white board.
