The third part of the already valued by players series of complex strategies. As with previous productions, we are dealing with a product that makes quite a clear reference to the real events of our history. This time the focus is on the 16th century Japanese leader of Obo Nobunaga. This man initiated a rebellion aimed at unification of a country broken into feudal principalities. Koei is again responsible for the production and release of the game, also known for such series as Dynasty Warriors, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, or Samurai Warriors. As with the two previous releases of the series, this game was released only on PlayStation 2. There are no network modes included.
Unlike the previous parts of Kessen, where we were in charge of command of whole armies, this time the game was put closer to the aforementioned Dynasty Warriors series. As a result, we focus on commanding smaller troops. There are many different generals at the player's disposal and it is up to us to decide which tasks they will be assigned to. At the same time, it is worth mentioning that generals have specific specializations, which translates into specific skills and tactical games, which we can use. The planning process takes place before the actual battle. As you can easily guess, it plays a very important role.
In the main game mode to play we have more than 50 battles. It is worth mentioning here that the player directly commands only one team. The remaining part of the army carries out its activities in accordance with what was established before the beginning of the battle. The player can, however, use the general battle map to change his decisions or choose another unit he will personally direct. As the game develops, it is possible to unlock new elements of the game. These include new generals or missions that have not been available before, which can be carried out. Visually, the game looks quite average. It should be added, however, that the screen often shows several hundred different departments.
