Kaan: Barbarian's Blade is a three-dimensional, dynamic action game "hack & slash" created in the French development studio Eko Software (creators of such titles as Woody Woodpecker and Gift). The protagonist of this production is a young barbaric warrior who has to find a "magic ball" and save his world from evil. There are 17 levels to pass, located in different environments, including cities, mountains and Sirconian areas.

27 types of enemies await defeat, including skeletons, various ghosts and bloodthirsty plants and flying beasts, each with their own special forces and powers (such as freezing, poisoning, fire zioning). Kaan will also face a dozen or so bosses, including two giant monsters and the sorcerer Tothum Siptet, who wields powerful evil forces. Along the way he finds a number of items that will help him in battle. There are six types of weapons (e.g. axe, long sword or fight hammer), five shields (each giving Kaan new skills, e.g. tiger jump) and eight elements of armour.
