JX Online is a Chinese MMORPG, created and released by one of the largest developers in the Middle Kingdom, Kingsoft Corporation (known mainly for its very popular office packages and antivirus software on the home market). The title was undoubtedly the most popular in his homeland and neighbouring countries - Malaysia, Singapore, and above all in Vietnam, where he used to be called the most popular game of the genre (it is called Swordsman Online).

The fictional background of the discussed position is Chinese culture and related to it themes of oriental martial arts, a combination that meets the tastes of Far Eastern users with great efficiency. The creators settled the world depicted in the era of the Song Dynasty, defending itself against the attacking forces of the Jin dynasty (XII-XIII centuries of our era). Players create their own virtual character, which is then given a number of characteristics - appearance, physical and mental characteristics, innate talents or preferences for the future profession. During the game the heroes gradually acquire new abilities, collect various equipment and gain more and more unique character. The production abounds in elements characteristic of Chinese culture - ancient legends, mysterious, spiritual powers, powerful warriors, grandmasters of oriental martial arts. During our journey through the virtual world, we meet dozens of needy NPCs who will gladly tell the hero their story, give him good advice, or perhaps take advantage of his combat abilities or intellect. The axis of the game is, of course, the direct fight against various types of enemies, thanks to which we improve our combat skills and develop the potential of the avatar.

After proper training of our oriental virtuoso, we can challenge hostile factions and take part in epic PvP battles. There is practically no limit to the number of warriors taking part in a single battle, so we quickly need to learn good orientation in the field and carefully choose our targets. In particularly important battles it may be crucial to use a mount that significantly improves the mobility and survival of the hero. However, if we get tired of a constant struggle, nothing stands in the way of devoting ourselves to other activities, such as business (extensive trade) or social life (the possibility of looking for a life partner).

JX Online uses a not too demanding and quite elegant graphic engine (2D isometric), maintained in a suitable climate and supported by an adequate soundtrack. An important factor for the target users was the low demand for computer resources. As a result, the program runs easily on almost every PC platform, although it certainly does not dazzle with the level of performance or special effects.
