Junk Jack X is an improved edition of the Sandbox Junk Jack game, which was released on iOS at the end of 2011 as a mobile response to the popularity of Terraria's PC. Both versions of the game are the responsibility of PixBits studio, and the effect of his work can be assessed by owners of Apple smartphones and tablets.
In terms of gameplay, the title does not differ significantly from the majority of Sandbox world-building games, initiated by the cult Minecraft company Mojang. The action takes place in an open world, and the main aim of the game is to explore and modify it freely, according to the will and discretion of the players themselves. There are a number of virtual worlds available in the game, to which we can move through special portals. Each of the worlds is generated procedurally, so there is no question of two identical competitions.
Of course, the game does not lack numerous arcade elements and the fight against enemies - both virtual and live, because Junk Jack X also offers a cooperative multiplayer mode, with the option of playing over the network or in local mode (Bluetooth/WiFi). For players who prefer more traditional platform gameplay, the creators have also prepared a one-person feature campaign.
Compared to the three-dimensional Minecraft, the production of the PixBits studio was carried out in two dimensions, just as the Terraria mentioned in the introduction. The title offers an extensive system of craftsmanship, allowing for the production of various tools and structures with the use of raw materials and materials collected during the game. Here it operates in a traditional and simplified form, allowing for the selection of ready-made provisions from the book. Junk Jack also introduced some elements of science fiction, which also affected the items we can construct and the opponents we will face.
Junk Jack's iOS creators managed to combine the best elements of competitive production, while eliminating most of their ills (such as the non-intuitive control in the mobile Minecraft or the need to aim at microscopic blocks in Terraria). The game's graphic design looks at least as attractive, and in the new edition it has been refreshed and enriched with new elements, such as a better lighting system, floating smoke or realistic liquids (e.g. water, lava).
