Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja is an "old-fashioned" Japanese cRPG product in which, as is usually the case in this type of game, we have to wander dozens of large dungeons and fight hundreds of monsters. Both the concept of the game and the technical aspects do not differ from the standards known from similar productions from the Country of the Cherry Blossom. The authors did not even decide to use the tactile functions of NDS. However, they added something that could breathe a bit of freshness into the fossilized patterns of the character's story. That's what humour is.
The game was announced in the USA as an "RPG for real men, in which the hot maiden will take on the role". Yes, in this game the main character is a representative of the beautiful sex, but so that it wouldn't be too standard, instead of another Lara Croft, the creators have given us a rather uncluttered woman named Izun's name.
"Ninja is a relic". - begins his story of Isun, "Let me just fall into this fool," he adds, without hiding an injury to his former master. The main character, in search of a place on earth, finds her way to a small village. Unfortunately, all residents behave very strangely. Izuna, of course, decides to do something about it and so begins the "legend of an unemployed ninja".
The authors added, known for example from Diablo series, random generation of labyrinths, which can effectively lengthen the fun of this game. The role of magic is played by various talismans, thanks to which the heroine can cast spells and spell weapons. The authors have also implemented a lot of possibilities to individualize and improve all weapons.
Izuna: Legend of the Unemployed Ninja is only available on NDS so both displays are used during the game. The lower screen shows, in a way known from many Japanese productions, the locations, and the upper screen shows statistics, maps and dialogues. In thegame we are accompanied by a nice, two-dimensional, hand drawn graphics with a manga character.
