Lost Magic is an RPG title created by Taito Studio along with a talented game developer Yoshiharu Sato. This game was prepared with the view of Nintendo Dual Screen console.

The main hero is Isaac, a beginner sorcerer. The world he lives in has been seized by the forces of evil. Monsters started sprawling everywhere. The hero has to tame some of them using seven wands representing particular areas of magic.

The game uses the handheld’s stylus for controlling Isaac in this fantasy world. It is also useful for marking units displayed on the screen, as well as casting spells. These were represented as runes – simple signs, which you have to draw on the screen with the stylus. You can combine up to three magic formulas at one moment. The authors state that this allows for 350 different combinations. An equally important element, story-wise, is finding and taking care of familiars. The creatures posses unique powers, which prove very effective in combat. On your journey you will also meet NPCs that offer valuable items for doing short quests.

Completing the main story takes about 20 hours of gameplay. If you are a fan of multiplayer, Lost Magic offers e.g. Dueling Mode, in which you can begin a conquest of virtual realms together with a friend.
