Ironclads: Anglo Russian War 1865 is a continuation of the Ironclads cycle, which is very popular among lovers of marine strategies. For the first time, the development team of the Russian studio Totem Games decided to abandon full historical compatibility, presenting an alternative vision of the nineteenth-century conflict between Great Britain and Russia.

The action of the game takes place in 1865. Russia's position in the Black Sea area was severely damaged by the Crimean Wars. However, Car does not waste time and tries to build a strong, modern fleet of ships. Meanwhile, a rebellion is breaking out in Poland, supported by the United Kingdom. The British Navy sails out of the North Sea with the intention of destroying Russian ships and establishing a blockade.

The player again has the opportunity to test their fleet command skills. All historical models of vessels present in the game have been reproduced with attention to details of appearance and compatibility of technical parameters. The advanced ballistics system and the possibility of using authentic nineteenth-century battle tactics at sea also add to the realism of the game.

In terms of audiovisual setting, Ironclads: Anglo Russian War 1865 does not differ in performance level from earlier editions of the cycle. Three-dimensional graphics deviate from modern standards, which, however, is compensated by relatively small hardware requirements, allowing to run the game even on older computers.
