Iron Harvest: Operation Eagle

Operation Eagle is an add-on to Iron Harvest, a game developed by German studio KING Art Games, set in the 1920+ universe by Polish illustrator Jakub Rozalski. The main attraction of the expansion is the Usonia faction, modelled on the United States of America. The developers also added a few novelties in the factions known from the basic version of the game.

Plot

Operation Eagle introduces to the game a new campaign dedicated to the American Union of Usonia, enriched by about 25 minutes of cinematic interludes. The country managed to avoid the Great War - during which it focused on economic and technological development, making it a world power. The Usonian army also stands out from the troops in the base game in terms of culture and equipment, with the powerful "diesel birds" at the forefront.

Mechanics

The add-on does not try to reinvent the wheel and focuses on expanding the game's content rather than changing well-known mechanics. The Usonia faction includes three playable heroes and over 30 infantry units, buildings and mechs. In addition, all factions available in the base version of the game have received new flying units and many skins to decorate their troops with. Usonia's specialty is airships - divided into different types, such as warships or flying motorbikes, with the help of which we drop soldiers behind enemy lines or drop bombs.

Operation Eagle is a classic expansion, but can also be purchased as a standalone product. In the latter case, the game allows us to play the Usonia campaign, the first five missions of the Polania campaign, and multiplayer and challenge maps as these two factions.

Game modes

The expansion is playable in single player mode, co-op (campaign only) and multiplayer (expanded with several new maps). New seasons are regularly scheduled in the network game mode, allowing players to compete against others in tournaments for which they receive rewards from the developers.

Technical aspects

Operation Eagle keeps the dieselpunk, interwar design, and the new units are as detailed as those known from the base game.
