Invictus: In the Shadow of Olympus Description
This is how Invictus' story is presented. The game world is interesting and active - there are many people to talk to (or fight with) and lots of places to discover. Invictus boasts a high level of detail in the area and its objects. In the game you will find mountains and valleys, trees looking different from each side, splashing water while crossing. The player can rotate, move and also change the perspective of the camera, which gives him a great opportunity to observe the action. For example, if he wants to have a view of the entire battlefield, he will move it away, and he will approach him when he wants to direct specific units to attack. All the characters have also been realized completely in 3D technology. They are characterized by great detail, allowing for example to mature the muscle structure of cyclops, or snakes winding on the head of the Gorgony.
In addition, each character has a special ability, which causes a kind of special effect. For example, Hercule can cause an earthquake that throws enemies into the air and splashes water, while another unit can release fireballs that ignite the enemy. The sound side is also very rich with ambient sounds, music, special effects and lots of dialogues.
The creators placed great emphasis on the artificial intelligence of the units, also giving the player the opportunity to create formations. They will be very useful when there is a lot of room for manoeuvre, but when the terrain is unfavourable they will slow down the units, so the player will have to use them wisely. In addition to the game there is a possibility to set the level of bravura and aggression of the unit. Depending on it, units will either throw themselves like madmen at the battle whirlpool, or at the slightest scratch they will escape where the pepper grows. The player can control almost any type of unit in the game, most monsters will have to be defeated before they can take them into their squad, but a few will be able to embody them in a different way.
