Infinifactory

Infinifactory for PC is an original logic sandbox developed by Zachtronics, a small team that had made their name known to players through niche titles, including Ironclad Tactics or SpaceChem.

Mechanics

Even if the game is seen in a first person perspective and uses a 3D environment, Infinifactory is somewhat of an expansion of the ideas found in less complicated SpaceChem. We assume the role of an employee of an unusual factory, owned by an alien race. Our job is to build various items using the parts appearing on the assembly line. Unfortunately, we have to coordinate our efforts with our supervisors, as well as the owners of the factory.

The game contains 30 levels that involve numerous problems and riddles in need of a swift call. To create an object, we need to manipulate the factory units through pushing, moving, rotating, or connecting two different components. If the situation deems it so, we can stamp or destroy chosen items. Nevertheless, the player has to be careful, as one wrong call too many may end with his death. The manufacturing process can be optimized based on custom histograms created by the player, or downloaded online.

Game Modes

Aside from the campaign, the authors introduced a sandbox mode that enables us to create assembly lines from scratch and design various, completely unique items which can be shared with the online community thanks to the integration with Steam Workshop.
