Another installment of Ubisoft’s Imagine game series which includes such titles as Animal Doctor or Figure Skater. This time the player can take on the role of a high school teacher. Imagine Teacher is a Nintendo DS exclusive.

The player can teach several different subjects, such as English, maths, biology, geography, history, music and art. Each lesson takes a form of a mini-game. Depending on the subject these may test your agility or logic thinking.

Much emphasis was put on interactions with pupils and observing their reactions. You have to adjust your teaching program to children’s reactions, diligence and features of character. It is also important to keep a proper measure of discipline and admonish pupils when they misbehave, e.g. chatting in class. In time children’s mood improves and new ones enroll to your class. Interestingly, there are also other teachers and parents in the game, with whom you may talk.

Another feature is preparing the class for various celebrations. You can also decorate the school with new items bought in a special store. The ultimate goal is to become the school’s principal, gaining access to new development options of the high school.

Apart from single player the game also features simple multiplayer based on mini-games. Interestingly, only one copy of the game is enough to play together with a friend. When it comes to visuals, Imagine Teacher looks similar to other games in the series with its amusing character models. Note, that the school and your next classroom can be previewed in 3D.
