Hover: Revolt of Gamers for PC, XONE and etc. is an FPP sci-fi platform game by indie studio Fusty Games.

Plot

The game is set in a giant metropolis, ruled by the ruthless Mayor. He oppresses the citizens and thinks that games are the main threat to his power. He issues an order to confiscate all consoles and other gaming devices. Everyone, who tries to defy him, is presently imprisoned. The players take on the roles of travelers from an alternative world, who decide to overthrow the dictator.

Mechanics

The gameplay of Hover: Revolt of Gamer, showing the action in first-person perspective, focuses on a platform-based parkour system, which allows you to quickly travel around the city and freely overcome obstacles. Special outfits make it possible to jump higher than ordinary people and safely fall from greater heights. There is also an expanded tricks system and performing them earns you points and also builds up respect among the citizens, thus allowing you to recruit them. Each new recruit is a new playable character that you can develop further.

Apart from performing acrobatics, you also need to free the imprisoned civilians and reclaim the confiscated consoles. The task is made more difficult by numerous patrol drones, which start to pursue you the moment they see you. Apart from the singleplayer mode, the game also features a multiplayer mode. Hover: Revolt of Gamers can be played with keyboard, mouse, or pad, and also features Oculus Rift support.
