Hot Wheels: Race Off is a hybrid of arcade and car game, developed by Hutch Games. The game is available on AND and iOS, where it is distributed in a free-to-play model with optional microtransactions.
Mechanics
The action in Hot Wheels: Race Off is presented from a side perspective. We can control over twenty vehicles (titular Hot Wheels), and the fun comes down to driving the designated route in the most impressive style possible. The title boasts more than forty different tracks full of obstacles, ramps and hills - we can perform various tricks (from backflips to wheelies and endo), trying to gain score advantage over the opponents.
As we make progress, we get access not only to new cars (the garage includes classic muscle cars, off-road cars, futuristic racing cars and buggy) but also to a variety of improvements, which we can buy by paying with both virtual and real cash.
Game modes
Hot Wheels: Race Off on the AND and iOS offers single-player modes and variants based on competition with other players. Multiplayer modes require Internet connection.
Technical aspects
Hot Wheels: Race Off is characterized by a decent three-dimensional graphics design. The advanced damage model is worth mentioning - a car crash has a spectacular animation, during which the machine disintegrates into small pieces. The whole is complemented by a fast and dynamic soundtrack.
