Horse Tales: Emerald Valley Ranch

Horse Tales: Emerald Valley Ranch is an adventure game in which we deal with rebuilding a ruined ranch and breeding and riding horses. It was developed by Aesir Interactive studio, and was published by Microids.

Plot

In Horse Tales: Emerald Valley Ranch we play the role of a character who, at the invitation of his aunt, arrives in the title Emerald Valley. On the spot it turns out that the ranch run by our relative has fallen into complete ruin. From now on, it is on our shoulders the task of rebuilding it and restoring it to its former splendor. Who knows, maybe in this way we will be able to win the respect of the Felix family, widely respected by the local community?

Game mechanics

In Horse Tales: Emerald Valley Ranch we observe the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). Game offers an open world, in which we can find, among other things, a picturesque coastline, a dense forest or meadows and pastures stretching to the horizon. As befits a game about horses, we traverse it on the back of one of our mounts.

Belonging to our aunt, the stud farm is our base and should be our eyes. In order to rebuild it, we need the help of the locals; however, in order to win their sympathy, we must first perform various tasks for them and help them solve the problems that trouble them. Among them we can find Gabriel, who is the son of the mayor, Matteo, a woodcutter, or Noella, a talented craftswoman.

As time goes by, we gain more and more resources, with which we can proceed to rebuild the ranch and customize it to our needs and preferences. By building stables and various horse care facilities or decorating everything with decorations, we gradually restore the stud to its former glory. The more prosperous the ranch, the more magnificent mounts we can breed and train on it. Over time, we also develop our own riding skills.

In addition to horses growing up in our stud, in the game world we can come across wild specimens, diversified in terms of traits and abilities. By learning how to tame and ride them, we gain access to one-of-a-kind mounts; however, it is worth remembering that in addition to their unique characteristics, they have their own personalities, preferences and needs, which we must take proper care of.
