Harvestella Description
Harvestella is an action RPG, enriched with elements taken from life sim genre. The game was developed and published by Square Enix.
Plot
Harvestella takes us on a journey to a fantastic world where balance was provided by four powerful crystals known as Seaslight. The former peace and harmony passed away when the change of seasons began to be accompanied by a cataclysm known as Quietus, during which the world is covered with deadly dust that threatens all life. Complicating matters is the fact that each successive Quietus lasts longer than the previous one....
In the course of the game, we play a character who wakes up in an isolated village during one of the Quietus. From now on, her task becomes to unravel the mystery of the cyclical catastrophe haunting this world and deal with it before everything alive falls victim to it. Fortunately, she is not fated to make the crossing alone, as she meets numerous companions along the way (led by a girl named Aria, who she meets shortly after waking up, and who arrives from the future and investigates the mysteries of Quietus).
Game mechanics
In Harvestella game, we observe the action from a third-person perspective (TPP). The game gives us a vast land, made up of a variety of locations. Among those waiting to be visited are the beautiful Nemea Town, the coastal town of Shatolla, the picturesque Lethe Village or, finally, the impressive capital Argene. In addition, there's no shortage of outdoor areas or extensive dungeons. With time, we also acquire a boat, thanks to which we can sail on the ocean. We move between locations using the world map.
We move through the land and talk to its inhabitants and complete various tasks. In addition, we often fight enemies. We eliminate them, making use of cold weapons and magic, and the key to success is to discover the weak points of each enemy.
But it doesn't end there, because on our shoulders rests also the task of running our own farm, and thus - cultivating the land and breeding animals. We can sell the harvested crops, and use the money earned to develop the farm or buy better equipment. In addition, a crafting system has been implemented in the game, thanks to which we can prepare various dishes on our own (they provide us with various buffs, indispensable on the battlefield) and create useful items.
The rhythm of life in the game world is determined by seasons, which change every 30 days. At the same time, it is worth remembering that each such change is accompanied by the passage of Quietus, during which the inhabitants are afraid to leave their homes, and the plants grown in the fields begin to wither.
