Homo Machina is a 2D logic game in which we move inside a human body presented from a peculiar perspective – as a huge factory packed with various contraptions. The production is developed by a small studio from Paris called Darjeeling. The authors drew inspiration from e.g. medical illustrations by doctor Fritz Kahn.
Mechanics
In the game we assume the role of a body-factory worker whose job is to keep it alive. To do so, we need to explore the body, accomplish diverse objectives, and solve simple logic puzzles. For example, when the human eats breakfast, we need to operate the jaw by touching the screen and swiping our finger in the right directions. Different organs and body parts offer similar quests. The interface is intuitive and the rules are quite simple, but this does not mean that the game does not require using the brains from time to time.
Game modes
Homo Machina is a single-player only title.
Technical aspects
