The second part of Kevin McCallister's adventures, who as a result of another misunderstanding related to the trip was left alone - this time in New York. The prospect of spending Christmas in a big city wouldn't be so terrible for a little boy if it weren't for the familiar thieves who once tried to break into the McCallister estate. Having in mind the poor fate prepared for them by Kevin, the opryszkowie decide to catch him and take revenge. At this point, the player enters the action. His task is simple: he has to escape the bandits.

The chase includes several different locations: city streets, a hotel, a toy shop and a ruined house, which was the scene of the final duel between Kevin and his opponents in the film. Although our hero is agile and young, thieves have an advantage - longer legs. That's why you won't be able to escape by yourself - you have to actively obstruct the chase. In order to do this, you need to use objects lying here and there. Covers from rubbish bins, bananas, crochets, ketchup - all this will be useful for Kevin to stop the persecutors. For ease of use, those interactive elements that we can pick up or use are blinking - so it's hard to miss them.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, in terms of gameplay is very different from its predecessor. The player has practically no freedom here. His goal is a continuous run, interrupted from time to time by the use of an object. For this reason, the game does not impress to the same extent as the first installment. After a few games it just gets boring. The audiovisual setting is much better than in the original. Animation of characters and backgrounds beats on the head what we could see earlier, although in comparison with other platforms, far from delighted. There are also more shots from the film, which add colour to the story between the next stages. It is a pity that it was not decided to introduce signatures under the photographs. Anyone who has never watched a film (which is undoubtedly difficult given the Christmas repertoire of Polish TV stations) will not say anything at all. To sum up, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York may like it, although the authors did not contribute to it, probably hoping that the film's dubious reputation will suffice for any recommendation.
