Heroes of Might and Magic Online

Heroes of Might & Magic Online is an MMO adaptation of Heroes of Might & Magic series. It was developed by a Chinese development studio, TQ Digital Entertainment, and released initially in 2008, only in China. Two years later, it was also made available in English-speaking countries.

HoMMO combines the classic turn-based mechanics with modern solutions for online gaming. In the game, we assume the role of a unique hero and join one of eight different factions in order to perform the missions they assign us.

The main goal of the player is to build a castle and create a mighty army, units of which (56 units in 16 classes) will help the hero in battles against his foes. Since it is an MMO game, the player may battle other people at any moment.

Heroes of Might & Magic Online offers access to castle management systems that allow us to create and develop our army, hero and magic, as well as to cooperate with other factions, trade and oversee mission progress. The most important part of the game, though, are battles themselves. They take lots of preparation and concentration on the player’s part to turn out in his favor.

We may fight single battles with human and computer opponents and also participate in guild battles. The players have hundreds of campaigns at their disposal.

Gameplay-wise, HoMMO is based on Heroes of Might & Magic III, while the audiovisual layer of the game was designed on the basis of Heroes of Might & Magic V.
