Hellslave is a dungeon crawler RPG. The game was developed by French studio Ars Goetia, the authors of The Blind Prophet.

Plot

The action takes place in the world heading towards apocalypse due to invasion of demonic armies. We play as a daredevil who will try to save the rest of humanity from annihilation. In order to do this he enters into a pact with the devil himself and begins to worship one of the great demons. In this way, he gains abilities that will allow him to challenge the rest of the infernal beings.

Game mechanics

Hellslave is a classic dungeon crawler. ThGameplay is mainly about exploring dungeons full of monsters and traps. We observe the events from a first-person perspective, we move by jumps from place to place and the player can turn only 90 degrees to the left or right.

Combat takes place in real time, and the development of the protagonist plays a key role in the game. As we progress through the game, we unlock both classic skills and demonic abilities, and succeeding requires creating the right synergy between our character's various talents.

During the campaign, the player travels the world on a map showing the land from a large perspective. Visited villages and cities have the form of static screens, and all strongholds, graveyards and dungeons have the form of dungeons, which can be explored in a typical dungeon crawler style.
