Headquarters: World War II - Market Garden is an expansion pack for the turn-based tactical strategy game released in April 2024, set during World War II. The DLC was developed by the authors of the original - Starni Games studio. Its release was handled by Slitherine, a company specialized in this genre.

Gameplay

As the title suggests, Headquarters: World War II - Market Garden focuses on Operation Market Garden, the largest airborne undertaking of 1944 that brought Allied troops to the Netherlands.

The pillar of the expansion is a campaign consisting of eight missions reproducing the most important moments of this operation, such as the recapture of Nijmegen and Eindhoven from the Germans, crossing the Wall River over the Wallbrug Bridge and the assault on Fort Beneden-Lent. It doesn't end there, as the DLC also brings 10 previously unavailable units that appear in both the campaign and the skirmish and multiplayer modes (5 for the British side, 2 for the Americans, and 3 for the Germans), as well as 3 British heroes.

Game modes

Similar to the base version of the game, in Headquarters: World War II - Market Garden can be played alone or in multiplayer mode, allowing for fun over the Internet and locally, as part of the so-called "hot seat" mode.
