FPP sim game in which we deal with the renovation of haunted houses. In Haunted House Renovator we not only clean, paint and furnish subsequent houses, but also expel sinister creatures that reside in them or... mask their presence in various ways.

Haunted House Renovator is a sim game inspired by the bestselling House Flipper. However, the game has been treated with a pinch of salt, because, as the title suggests, we are dealing here with renovations... haunted houses. It was developed by Image Power, a Polish studio whose portfolio includes the Dieselpunk Wars project, and published by PlayWay.

Game mechanics

In Haunted House Renovator we observe the action from the first person perspective (FPP). We take on the role of a one-of-a-kind specialist who renovates haunted houses. In the game, we have to clean, renovate and furnish a number of such buildings, preparing them for sale.

Getting rid of trash, repairing damaged electronics, washing bloodstains from the floors or occult symbols from the walls or even deratization is not a big challenge for us. The same goes for putting up new wallpaper, painting the walls, putting up fresh smelling furniture and adding any decorations. However, our responsibilities don't end there. Each of the houses we have to give a second life to hides a dark secret... or several dark secrets at the same time. Goblins in the basement, ghosts in the attic, living armor, ghosts in the intercoms or skeletons hidden in the walls are just some of them. We can try to confront these out-of-this-world threats (for example, by dragging them into a vacuum cleaner, driving them out with holy water, or drawing protective symbols on the floor) or... temporarily mask their presence (for example, by placing a heavy closet in such a place that it covers a skeleton hidden in the wall or the entrance to a haunted cellar).
