[1:31] Harvest Hills - Trailer #1
Harvest Hills Description
Harvest Hills is a production on the border of strategy games and agricultural simulators. The title was developed by the independent studio Red Beans, whose portfolio includes the Adventure Light platformer.
Gameplay
In Harvest Hills, we view the action from a bird's eye view. In the course of the game, we play the role of a character who abandons life in the city and moves to the countryside to devote himself to his passion, namely farming.
Admittedly, the adventure of working on the farm begins modestly, as we start by cultivating a small plot of land and planting the first vegetables and fruits. Over time, however, this begins to change, as we gain larger and larger tracts of land, and the range of available plants expands.
The game also allows us to raise farm animals (such as chickens, cows and sheep, which are rewarded for their care with eggs, milk and wool), as well as bees (producing honey).
We can process the fruits of our labor on the farm, producing a variety of goods from them. To do so, we need special machines that allow us to produce, among other things, tomato sauce, juice or cheese. We sell the finished products, as well as surplus crops, at the market, thus gaining money for further development of the farm. In addition, we unlock new objects and products by completing daily chores and special additional tasks.
Graphics
The graphic design of Harvest Hills game was kept in low poly style (so it was based on a relatively small number of polygons).
