Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is a very typical game-as-a-service that will not appeal to a wide audience and may have trouble keeping fans of the universe. The broomstick chaos and balance problems negatively affect gameplay.
CGMagazine: 7 / 10 by Philip Watson
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is a solid return to the Quidditch pitch and is a must try for fans of the overarching series.
Press Start: 6 / 10 by James Mitchell
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions gets the core fundamentals of Quidditch right - it's fast-paced, frenetic and a joy to zip around the field. But despite some robust multiplayer options, there's just not a whole lot here to keep you interested beyond a few hours.
The main pros of the game
- Nostalgic Appeal: Many users appreciate the game for capturing the spirit of Quidditch and evoking memories of the original "Quidditch World Cup" game from 2003.
- Fun Gameplay: The gameplay is described as enjoyable, with the ability to control all four roles (Keeper, Chaser, Beater, and Seeker) adding depth and variety to matches.
- No Microtransactions: Players are pleased with the absence of microtransactions, stating that all items can be unlocked through in-game currency.
- Good Graphics and Atmosphere: The art style and overall atmosphere of the game are praised for being visually appealing and immersive.
- Variety of Play: The game features multiple tournaments and achievements, allowing players to engage in different challenges and modes.
The main cons of the game
- Server Issues: Many users report significant problems with lag, crashes, and connection issues, making the online experience frustrating.
- Matchmaking Problems: The matchmaking system is criticized for poor balance, often pairing inexperienced players with highly skilled opponents, leading to unbalanced matches.
- Gameplay Mechanics: Some users find the gameplay mechanics unintuitive and difficult to master, particularly with the flight controls.
- Lack of Content: Players express disappointment over the limited single-player content and the repetitive nature of the gameplay after initial hours of enjoyment.
- Rule Changes: The alterations to classic Quidditch rules (e.g., only one Beater, Snitch worth only 30 points) are met with mixed reactions, with some fans feeling these changes detract from the original game's excitement.
The features or elements that are missing from the game according to users
- More Customization: Users desire greater customization options for characters and teams, including clothing choices and the ability to create unique team rosters.
- Ranked System: A ranked mode is requested to differentiate skill levels among players and provide a more competitive environment.
- Expanded Content: Many players hope for additional maps, teams, and tournaments, as well as more engaging single-player content to enhance longevity.
- Improved Tutorial: A more comprehensive tutorial is needed to help players learn the controls and gameplay mechanics effectively, as many find it rushed and inadequate.
- Stability and Bug Fixes: Users call for urgent fixes to bugs and server issues to improve overall game stability and performance.
Summary
- In summary, while "Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions" has received praise for its nostalgic elements, enjoyable gameplay, and absence of microtransactions, it faces significant criticism regarding its online performance, matchmaking, and lack of content. Players are hopeful for future updates to address these issues.

Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Description
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is a sports action game set in the Harry Potter universe, known as the Wizarding World. The game was created by Unbroken Studios, which has in its portfolio a project called Fractured Lands, significantly different in terms of theme and genre.
Gameplay
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions allows us to play the role of a player of the titular Quidditch game, a fictional sport loved by wizards and known from the Harry Potter books and movies. Matches, in which participants sit on brooms, are played on various fields. Among them we will find locations well known to fans of J.K. Rowling and her adaptations, as well as completely new places.
The game allows us to choose what position we will play: we can play the role of a seeker, a beater, a keeper or a chaser. The goal of the chasers is to throw the ball through one of the hoops belonging to the opposing team, which the keepers from the opposing team are trying to prevent. The task of the beaters is to defend their own team members from the attacking enchanted balls. The seeker is responsible for spotting and chasing a tiny ball, the capture of which ends the match.
The game allows us to create our own character or choose one of the heroes from the Harry Potter series. As we progress, we develop the player, either male or female, using skill points. We can also improve our broom.
Game modes
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions allows to play both alone and engage in multiplayer matches over the Internet. The game offers:
- A career mode in which we accompany our character on the journey from backyard games at the Weasley's burrow to the Quidditch World Cup. It can be completed alone or in cooperation mode.
- Exhibition matches, where we set up teams, choose the map and difficulty level, and then start a fierce fight for victory. We can play solo or in teams of up to three people.
- A competition-based multiplayer mode, in which we can compete with players from all over the world.
