Hamster on Rails is an isometric puzzle game, tasking players with building railways to acquire resources needed in the Hamster village. The game was developed by a small, Brazilian studio Virtual Arts.
Hamster on Rails is an isometric puzzle game, in which the player must build railroads to save the Hamster village. It was created and published by an independent, Brazilian studio made up of three people - Virtual Arts.
Plot
The Hamster village needs crystals and minerals to save its people. The king therefore tasks his best, most courageous railway builder with acquiring said resources from neighboring lands.
Mechanics
The game consists of isometric stages. The player must build railway tracks out of available pieces (straight lines, curves, ramps, levers, etc) leading to the exit. Some levels feature optional targets - treasure chests (which hold cosmetic items, such as fur colors and facial expressions) or other hamsters we can help by delivering them their desired items. Tracks can only be built in designated areas, meaning each stage has only one solution (as long as we also try to complete all side objectives).
