Halo Online is a kind of spin-off of the famous Halo series, known primarily among console owners of the Xbox family. This production represents a species of chain shooters and has been prepared primarily for PC users - especially those living in the countries of the Eurasian Commonwealth of Independent States (Russia and most of the former Soviet Union republics). The title was prepared by Saber Interactive studio, which has collaborated with 343 Industries in the development of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, as well as quite successful own TimeShift shooter from 2007. Halo Online operates in a free model with micropayments.

The game was devoid of a feature campaign, focusing on multiplayer competition. The action is set in a secret UNSC training centre, where Spartan IV soldiers develop their skills together, taking part in war games and testing experimental technology.

A maximum of 16 players will take part in the matches, either on foot or with the use of vehicles. Before starting the game we choose the character class, but we also have special weapons scattered around the maps, as well as various "power-ups". Equipment - weapons and armour - is available in many varieties with different statistics and is subject to far-reaching modifications. Our soldier develops from match to match, gaining new ranks and unlocking new possibilities in the form of so-called "drums". The arenas have been designed from scratch with Halo Online in mind (we will not recycle locations from previous Halo games).

Micropayments include weapons, armour and power-ups to purchase. It is also worth noting the implementation of the system of everyday challenges, characteristic for free-to-play games.

The game was created on a heavily modified Halo 3 engine and offers graphics at a level similar to Halo 4 - in other words, it's a pretty nice production, especially among free FPSs.
