The second addition to the game Gwent: The Witcher Card Game, included in the set The Price of Power. In the DLC entitled Thanedd Coup, we receive 26 cards related to the bloody clash that took place on the island of Thanedd during the wizards' convention.
Thanedd Coup is the eleventh mini-add-on to the card game released in 2018 under the title Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. The DLC is the second (after Once Upon a Pyre) part of the Price of Power expansion. It was developed by the Polish studio CD Projekt RED.
Plot
As the title suggests, the action of Gwent: The Price of Power - Thanedd Coup is set during the titular Coup. It took place on the island of Thanedd, during a wizard convention described in The Witcher saga, and culminated in a bloody clash between Nilfgaard supporters and mages supporting the Northern Kingdoms.
Mechanics
Like the previous expansion, Gwent: The Price of Power - Thanedd Coup introduces 26 new cards. This time we can enrich our collection with, among others, copies related to the title Coup and the characters taking part in it. Four new cards for each faction and two neutral cards are at our disposal.
Technical aspects
Gwint: The Price of Power - Thanedd Coup is not a standalone expansion and therefore requires the base version of Gwent: The Witcher Card Game to work.
