Gunbrick

Gunbrick, released on AND and iOS, is a humorous arcade game combining elements of a shooter, platformer and logical game. The production was developed by Nitrome.

Plot

As it happens in the games of this developer, the story in Gunbrick is told with a tongue in cheek. The action takes place in a strange futuristic world, in which cars have become a thing of the past and instead of the metal and solidly armed boxes have been rolled into the streets. We play the role of a hero traveling in such a bizarre machine, who has to break through a series of different levels filled with numerous enemies, including mutants, police, crazy fans and several types of boxes.

Mechanics

Gunbrick features unusual driving mechanics. Our box can turn only 90 degrees in each direction. In addition, we have a cannon for attacking enemies, switching buttons and jumping (when shooting at the ground). On each map, our task is to get from the starting point to the finish line and all levels have been designed to test not only the player's dexterity but also their cleverness. The gameplay is additionally enriched by the fights with powerful bosses and the achievement system.

Technical aspects

Gunbrick is made in attractive 2D graphics maintained in a light retro style. The music by Eirik Suhrke, the artist who composed soundtracks for Ridiculous Fishing and Super Crate Box, is also very impressive.
