GunBound is a turn-based, free online strategy and arcade game that conceptually resembles titles such as Scorched Earth and Worms World Party. The author of the production is a Korean softnyx company, known primarily for creating various types of online games (e.g. Rakion), working on a free basis and the ability to buy special items in a built-in shop, paying in real cash.

The main element of the game are team battles, in which the leading roles are played by artillery vehicles driven by players, the so-called mobiles. Both sides shoot at each other periodically, making significant use of the terrain, weather conditions and the current weaponry. Each mobile can have up to three different types of weapons, one of which belongs to the SS (Super Special) category. The guarantee of victory is the perfect operation of the cannon of our tankette, which in turn requires exploration of the secrets of ballistics and the influence of atmospheric conditions on the battlefield and missile flight path. Weather during the game plays a leading role - the authors have prepared a total of nine unique pseudo-meteorological phenomena, which can have a decisive impact on the capabilities of the vehicles driven by the players, and consequently on the fate of the skirmishes (e.g. lightning, tornado, brittle ground or damage reduction).
