Project Motor Racing Description
GTR Revival is a car simulator and a spiritual successor of two well-known racing series representing this subgenre: GTR and Project CARS. It was developed by Straight4 Studios led by Ian Bell, instrumental to the creation of both these series. He began work on GTR Revival shortly after leaving Slightly Mad Studios in 2021, after it was acquired by Electronic Arts.
Gameplay
GTR Revival emphasizes realism, going even further than Project CARS. The developers wanted to provide the most authentic experience possible, letting the players race with a variety of cars on famous tracks from all around the world. The roster of vehicles available in the game includes high-performance GT-class cars (as the title suggests) but also other cars participating in motorsports competitions.
Game modes
GTR Revival supports both singleplayer and online multiplayer.
Technology
GTR Revival runs on the Unreal Engine 5. This means high-quality detailed visuals, support for the latest technologies, as well as changing weather and a full day-and-night cycle in-game.
The creators also implemented a full, wide mod support. They've also made use of an AI-based chatbot to generate authentic-sounding commentary during races.
