Growbot is a two-dimensional point and click adventure game created by the English studio Wabisabi Play, in which we learn about the fate of a nice robot trying to protect his home from the destructive power of crystals.
Plot
The story told in the game focuses on the fate of Nara, the growbot, who is training for promotion to captain. One day, his house is infected by growing crystals that multiply so quickly that they pose a real threat to the entire station. A brave robot decides to embark on a journey to save his idyllic home, and the key to success is the magical power of the plants.
Mechanics
Growbot is a two-dimensional point and click adventure game. It was inspired by the LOOM published in the early 1990s and Machinarium.
Growbot is a combination of classic solutions known from adventure games. We interact with objects and use them to solve puzzles, as well as meet charming NPCs (including a fluffy creature with a galaxy on its belly), solve environmental and musical puzzles.
All this takes place among idyllic and hand-drawn locations, full of wildlife. The well-known illustrator Lisa Evans, who specializes in fairy-tale and oneiric style, is responsible for it. The music was composed by Jessica Fichot.
