Gotcha Racing 2nd

Gotcha Racing 2nd is a sequel to a racing game that was released in 2015 on Nintendo 3DS. The new game was developed by the creators of the first entry in the series, studio Arc System Works.

Mechanics

In Gotcha Racing 2nd the action is presented from a top-down perspective. The players are controlling a car and they participate in races on more than a dozen of tracks that differ in look and complication level. The main attraction of the game is races in which the player is tasked with reaching the finish line as first. The key to success lies not only in becoming familiar with the track – the victory can be also achieved by eliminating or slowing down opponents with various power-ups and by upgrading the vehicle.

By winning the players gain money that can be spent on special capsules. Inside them, there are powerful new cars or more than seven hundred parts to the cars the player already has. Among the parts, there are tires, brakes and engine parts. They can affect handling, acceleration or maximum speed of vehicles. It is possible to combine various parts in order to strengthen their effects.
