Mechanics

In Golem Rage, the action is seen from a two-dimensional perspective. During the game, we traverse varied locations taking place in seven environments. The game was divided into fifty-four levels, with our goal being completing each level in the shortest time possible.

The levels are filled with various traps (such as tornadoes blocking the way forward), while the player faces eleven types of opponents (from simple infantry units up to sorcerers) that attempt to stop him at all costs. The key to success lies in finding an efficient way of dealing with each opponent – even if our character makes good use of his fists, sometimes a better way of dealing with the opponent is performing a dodge, grabbing a hold of an enemy and throwing him in the direction of other opponents or simply pushing an enemy off a ledge. During our travels, the golem gathers power-ups that increase his attack power.

Technical Aspects

Golem Rage offers 2.5D graphics, which allow the hero to not only go right, but also enter the second and third plane. The game is characteristic for its soundtrack that corresponds with the events seen on the screen and a large dose of humor.
