Godsworn is an RTS in which different cultures face each other - tribes led by pagan gods and crusaders supported by angels. The game is a work of the independent studio Thunderoak Interactive based in the Netherlands.

Plot

The story presented in Godsworn retells the fate of the Northern Crusades against non-Christian tribes on the Baltic coast. In the game, the conflict adds a mythological aspect. The pagans who worship the dark god Meness, or Saule, known as the Sun Lady, are preparing for battle. On the other side are knights under the banner of the archangel Michael.

Mechanics

Godsworn is a classic strategy based on construction, resource management and unit command. The game puts us in the lead of the followers of different gods, and our task is to prove that we are worthy of ruling the disputed lands. Having resources such as wood or food, we build chapels, farms or barracks. Their appearance and use vary depending on the chosen faction.

Faith points play a key role in Godsworn, which we can spend on summoning fantasy beings or using divine powers. We gather them thanks to the devotees engaged in prayers in the temples. Since they are defenseless at this time, we must provide them with protection.

Our army consists of mythological creatures and standard units recruited in the city (infantry, shooters, etc.). In battles, the greatest attention is paid to God's chosen ones - heroes with special skills whose power increases when they level up. We have a choice of many characters with different abilities that significantly affect the tactics of combat.

Game modes

Godsworn offers both solo play and online for up to eight players. As part of the multiplayer gameplay, we can join the story campaign in coop or test our strategic skills in competitive modes, including challenges and skirmish.
