Goat MMO Simulator Description
Released on PC, Goat MMO Simulator is a DLC to the Swedish Coffee Stain’s bestseller balancing on the verge of absurdity, which turns the original into a humorous MMO. The title is developed by the creators of the original game and serves as a pastiche of more serious MMORPG games, like World of Warcraft.
Gameplay
The action of the extension takes us to the quasi-Tolkien-like fantasy land where an endless war wages between goats and sheep. Following classic MMORPG productions, Goat MMO Simulator features a whole bunch of absurd quests in which you explore the original universe filled with medieval villages and castles, and talk to characters typical for the fantasy genre – elves and dwarves. Combat is an inherent part of the game and among enemies you can find e.g. different forest creatures and even dinosaurs.
While creating your hero, you can choose one of five available classes: Warrior, Rogue, Magician, and Hunter. Having long and slim legs, the Microwave class complements the list. Creators implemented a typical for RPGs character development system. The hero can reach maximally 101 level – one more than in the base-title. Similarly to the original title, the goat makes use of her long horns and performs breakneck stunts.
Technical aspects
Visuals changed dramatically – the game features a typical fantasy style, quite resembling that in the Fable series or mentioned World of Warcraft. The title would not deserve its place in the Goat Simulator family if it did not feature its most recognisable and annoying element – bugs. More precisely, a wide range of more or less intendedly implemented bugs. Discovering them turned out to be one of the game’s biggest assets.
