Gear.Club Unlimited 2: Ultimate Edition Description
The Gear.Club series was born on mobile devices; Gear.Club Unlimited 2 is its second installment, which hit the Nintendo Switch console. As was the case with the previous parts of the series, this racing game was developed by Eden Games, whose portfolio includes the popular Test Drive Unlimited franchise.
Mechanics
The gameplay in Gear.Club Unlimited 2 does not differ significantly from what we were accustomed to in the previous installments of the series. The game focuses therefore more than two hundred and fifty races, missions and challenges. We fight for victory on gravel and asphalt tracks with a total length of almost three thousand kilometers, which are located in picturesque places like snow-covered mountains, densely forested valleys, vast deserts or tropical coasts. In addition to individual victories, the management of the eponymous club plays an important role here; together with the best drivers (whom we recruit as we progress), we compete against teams of other players.
Climbing the racing career ladder, we unlock cars, which we can customize both in terms of performance and appearance; the list of more than fifty licensed vehicles includes Porsche 718 Boxter, Porsche 918 Spyder and Porsche 911 GT2RS, as well as Dodge Viper, McLaren 720s and Lotus 3-Eleven.
Technical aspects
Considering the capabilities of the Nintendo Switch console, we can say that the three-dimensional graphics of Gear.Club Unlimited 2 are of high quality. Both the detailed car models and diverse environment look quite decent.
