Dungeons 4: The Good, the Bad and the Evil

Dungeons 4 - The Good, the Bad and the Evil is the first expansion to the RTS released in November 2023, inspired by the cult Dungeon Keeper series and titled Dungeons 4. The DLC was developed by the authors of the base game, namely the Realmforge Studios.

Plot

The story in Dungeons 4 - The Good, the Bad and the Evil takes place after the events presented in the base game. This time Evil and its subordinate General Thalya must face the sinister queen of the dwarves - Brynhild, who managed to escape to the west of the Underworld and kidnap the Council of Little Snots. The forces of evil have no choice but to declare war on her and try to disrupt her ranks before it's too late.

Gameplay

Dungeons 4 - The Good, the Bad and the Evil does not introduce revolutionary changes in mechanics. Instead, the expansion brings additional content, including five new missions set in a land inspired by the Wild West.

During the new missions we have to face new dwarf units, namely the pistolero, the machine dwarf, the sniper, and the brewer (a powerful beast... brewing beer). New creatures lurk in the underground, namely giant scorpions, and armored trains powered by steam locomotives roam the surface. The forces of evil can not only attack and destroy them, but also build their own machines of this type.

And speaking of the new possibilities of Thalya and her entourage - new traps have been made available to us, which we can set up in dungeons for nosy heroes, like a hydro-lava shooter shooting lava or a steam trap, which boils adversaries. Additionally, Thalya receives new passive skills at her disposal. The DLC also introduces special floor grates that allow us to construct objects on lava and water. This opens up areas of the underground that have previously been inaccessible to us.

Dungeons 4 - The Good, the Bad and the Evil is a non-standalone expansion, so it requires the base game Dungeons 4.
