An unusual FPP adventure game with some horror vibes, inspired by Japanesee underground passages. The Exit 8 has us travelling through a mysterious and seemingly non-ending corridor. The key of the game is to make our way to the exit while avoiding anomalies.
The Exit 8 is an adventure game in which players are forced to ignore anomalies in order to continue exploring. The game was created by the independent studio Kotake Create specializing in walking simulator games. It's been enriched with a layer of psychological puzzles and intrigues.
The game begins in the middle of a Japanese underground crossing with a glowing yellow sign towards exit number 8. The goal of the game is finding it. By moving around and observing signs, posters, and passing people, we are able to unravel the mysteries of this place.
In The Exit 8 we are traversing the tunnel of the underground passage and we're challenged with not noticing the anomalies in the surroundings. If an irregularity is noticed, we do not move forward, but go back to where we started the game.
The challenge is the number of anomalies - they can be everywhere we look. Succeeding in ignoring the anomalies will allow us to reach the exit number 8 and leave the passage.

Game Ratings for The Exit 8 Video Game.
GameGrin: 6 / 10 by Violet Plata
The Exit 8 is a short horror experience that feels more like an introduction to VR psychological horrors than anything else.
Nindie Spotlight: 3 / 10 by Justin Nation
Less a proper game and more of an odd and repetitive loop of walking around looking for small changes to amuse yourself

Made it to the end of the review and made it out alive? Then surely you’re intrigued enough to venture into the mysterious metro tunnels. Despite its minimalist nature, The Exit 8 VR is a surreal experience only enhanced thanks to the immersion provided through virtual reality. At just over an hour long, it’s a bite-sized experience that feels less like a videogame, and more like an interactive piece of art. If you’re a VR enthusiast and have a fascination for the disturbing, you’d be mad not to enter the Exit 8 VR.
