Gatekeeper

Gatekeeper is an indie action game with RPG and roguelike elements. It was developed by Gravity Lagoon and published by HypeTrain Digital.

Plot

Gatekeeper is set in a sci-fi universe. The Heart of the Universe has been stolen. The thieves took it to an unknown galaxy and locked it in a quantum cage, entrusting the keys to Sirens, ancient giants. The player must defeat the Sirens, reclaim the keys and recover the Heart.

Mechanics

Gatekeeper makes use of the top-down perspective. The game features a wide roster of characters with diverse abilities. We must choose one of them and traverse various locations scattered over dozens of planets, defending special totems while fighting off enemy hordes.

Aside from regular foes, we'll also face powerful bosses in extremely fast-paced battles. Players can wield melee weapons, ranged weapons and make use of various abilities. The enemies outnumber us significantly, forcing us to keep moving to avoid their attacks.

As we progress through the game, we develop our character and acquire artifacts granting unique powers. We'll also get our hands on even more powerful weapons.

Game modes

Gatekeeper supports singleplayer and online co-op.

Gatekeeper features colorful, cartoonish visuals and a fast-paced, electronic soundtrack.
