Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution Description
Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution is an extended version of Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist for Nintendo Switch. This is another game based on the Yu-Gi-Oh! license. It was started by a manga by Kazuka Takahashi and later known mainly from the popular collector's card game (CCG).
Plot
Just like the release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution does not offer a complex plot story. Instead, the creators focused on recreating the most famous duels known from anime Yu-Gi-Oh! enriched with the content from the sixth TV series Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS.
Mechanics
The basics of game have remained almost unchanged from the original release of Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist. The game is based on the rules of the card version. In Yu-Gi-Oh! players create decks from a set of available cards and fight battles with characters known from the animated series, including Yugim Muto, Seto Kaiba, Declan Aqaba, and Yusey Fudo.
The Nintendo Switch version introduces extended game content. In the game, players will find all the novelties from the add-ons to the original Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist including more than 2,000 new cards. An important novelty is also the updated rules introduced in the Master Rule 4. The changes concern, among others, the Pendulum cards (removal of separate fields) and the presence of special places for summoning monsters from the additional deck (Extra Deck). Among the latter there are Link Monsters introduced in 2017, whose presence makes it necessary to pay attention not only to which cards players use, but also where they are played.
Game modes
Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist: Link Evolution offers a lot of game variants. Players can recreate the most iconic fights in the brand's history as part of a story campaign, try their hand at challenges, and test their skills in the Sealed and Draft modes known from the CCG. The game allows you to play battles in many forms, both against artificial intelligence, as well as other players in either local or online multiplayer mode.
