[2:00] Dawn of Man trailer #1
TechRaptor: 7 / 10 by Robert N. Adams
Dawn of Man has a couple of small issues, but it's otherwise a solid game that's sure to be enjoyed by fans of city builders and real-time strategy alike.
Wccftech: 7 / 10 by Chris Wray
Dawn of Man is a competent city building game set, as the name explains, during the dawn of mankind. Moving through the ages, the slow progress early on leaves a real sense of achievement, made possible thanks to a strong resource system and the way knowledge is gained, working with the rest of gameplay to create an enthralling gameplay loop. Sadly this does falter towards the end of any game, even becoming boring at times, but for the most part Dawn of Man is one city building game that fans of the type won't want to miss, despite any flaws it has.
Tech Advisor: 3 / 5 by Dominic Preston
Until Dawn was always best experienced with a friend there to shout at your bad decisions, and now you get to shout at each other instead. That’s progress.

Dawn of Man Description
Dawn of Man is a strategy game that combines the elements of city builder and survival games. The player takes on the role of the guardian of a prehistoric village. The recipe for survival is the efficient use of the elements of the environment and available technology.
Plot
In Dawn of Man, the player's task is to lead a prehistoric settlement. During the game we will encounter all the epochs that make up this period of history. The player's task is to lead the village through all these stages and face the ever-changing environmental and technological aspects.
Mechanics
Dawn of Man does not differ much from the classic representatives of the genre. The player is given a specific area where they expand their settlement. The area contains resources that will be used for continuous development, including the construction of new buildings and the creation of tools necessary for survival.
Seasons play an important role in the game. The availability of food depends on them, e.g. it is easiest to get fish in spring, and the fruits most often occur at the beginning of summer. Also, animals, which are the source of many raw materials such as skin or bones, only appear in the vicinity of the settlement when it is warm. In winter, all sources of food are inaccessible, and residents also need warm clothes.
As the game progresses, the player develops new technologies that enable access to more advanced solutions. Thanks to them, we can start growing vegetables and become independent from foraging. Unfortunately, every new technology has certain consequences, such as increased demand for food from the population.
The settlers are also faced with various types of threats. In Dawn of Man there are many factors that can cause death. Hunting prehistoric animals such as mammoths can have catastrophic consequences. Additionally, the village may be attacked by raiders. A number of weapons and fortifications have been prepared for defense, which can be constructed by the player.
Technical aspects
In Dawn of Man the view is presented in an isometric view. Graphics change with the seasons. Thanks to that the game better reflects the climate of a given period. In addition, with successive prehistoric epochs, the models of buildings also change.
