The game is set in the eponymous Facility 47 - a secret research facility located in the Antarctic. The game's protagonist wakes up in a cell having no clue about neither his own identity nor the actions that led him there. His task is to escape, first the cell, then the facility, and survive.

Story
The action of the game takes place inside the titular Facility 47 - a large research base, located somewhere in Antarctica. The campaign starts when the protagonist controlled by the players wakes up inside a cell, not remembering how he found himself there. There is not a living soul around, and what is worse, the temperature is so low that he has to do something quickly if he wants to survive. Players' task is to survive and escape - first from the cell and then from the whole station.
While playing Facility 47, the player must also discover the history of the facility and the protagonist, as well as investigate what led to almost all employees leaving the facility.
Mechanics
Published on the PC, AND, and iOS Facility 47 is an adventure game, so players have to explore the location, search for items, and solve logical puzzles. For less experienced players there is a system of hints. The action is observed from the eyes of the protagonist, and the world is composed of two-dimensional boards, enriched with occasional animations.
The game was inspired by the "escape the room" genre, popular among free browser games. This means that exploration is very limited here, with almost every room closed. Players have to find a way to overcome obstacles and open closed doors. Puzzles are difficult to solve, but they are made easier by the fact that in most cases the items needed to complete the challenge are located in one room.
