Galaga Legions DX belongs to the series that laid the foundations for the modern computer games market. No wonder, that after thirty years, the creators release its subsequent parts in an almost unchanged form. However, this phenomenon can only be understood by players who remember the times when such productions broke records of popularity. For the younger generation, Galaga will only be a mini-game that can be played for a few minutes.
By definition, the game is very simple. We fly a small spaceship in a straight line and shoot enemies coming from all over the world. And there is something to shoot at, because hordes of enemies stand in our way. To eliminate aliens we use quite a large arsenal of various weapons, ranging from simple rifles to huge bombs capable of exterminating entire waves of opponents. In addition, our actions can be supported by battle probes circulating around the ship. There were also improvements in the form of shields or force fields. What distinguishes Galaga Legions DX from other parts is primarily improved graphics. However, no revolutionary changes are to be expected. There are more colors, explosions, flashing lights and other effects, but the game retains its classic look. So the action is still observed from the top view perspective and the ability to move our ship is limited to the area visible on the screen. Interface presents only the most important elements, such as current score, number of lives or used weapon. Genre lovers will surely like the soundtrack of the game. Our space expedition takes place with sounds reminiscent of classical MIDI type songs.
