Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow for AND and iOS is an SF comedy strategy. This free-to-play title developed by Jam City features microtransactions.

Plot

As the title suggests, the production is based on the adult cartoon series Futurama. Just like the original, it tells a story about a pizza delivery boy Philip J. Fry from New York, who accidentally gets frozen in a cryogenic chamber in 1992 and wakes up a thousand years later.

The plot is created by David X. Cohen and Matt Groening, the writers of the cartoon. Because of that, Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is equally crazy and funny as the TV series.

Mechanics

Mechanically, Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow published on AND and iOS combines a number of game styles. During gameplay, you are involved in developing futuristic New York, just like in an economic strategy. Therefore, you have to gather resources, erect buildings, and manage finances. Moreover, collecting the characters from the TV series is vital. Each of them can be upgraded by improving their statistics and unlocking new abilities.

You can also explore the galaxy on the deck of your spaceship. Space expeditions feature sequences inspired by classic shooters. There are also missions that require stepping off the vessel and e.g. exploring alien planets. Battles which take place on the surface of a planet you investigate are turn-based.
